1/ This Johnson surrogate keeps referring to a recent EU Commission paper which he says resolved the Irish border issues. Surprise! This claim is false.
2/ Here's the paper which I think he's referring to. It's the most recent Commission no deal paper: ec.europa.eu/info/publicati…
As I said at the time, there's no detailed discussion of Irish border issues. This is the only mention of Ireland, except for footnotes.
3/ The Commission paper does discuss greater use of customs tech by traders, but in the context of UK/EU trade generally. This facilitates trade but doesn't abolish all checks. Again, the paper makes no specific reference to checks or infrastructure on @BorderIrish
