Alberta, Canada Conservative government is planning to legalize lethal force to defend private property.
Oregon Republicans are using private militias made up of White Nationalists like 3%.

Alberta is following suit.

This all revolves around climate change and carbon levies to reduce GHG emissions.
One of the hidden investors in Alberta oil sands is Gazprom. They’ve partnered with Exxon’s Canadian subsidiary, Imperial Oil.

March 15, 2019, Igor Sechin and Gazprom we’re sanctioned by Canada. Freezing their assets and cutting off any profit.

How dare you read part of a thread and proclaim you have the answers. Really! Who do you think you are?
Look at the overall trajectory of UCP policy, Kenney’s & his Minister’s false narratives; threats & intimidation, fomenting of hatred for anyone or any opinion that varies from Kenney’s oil agenda, the rising numbers of nationalists and then have the audacity to comment!
Better yet, pick up some news, use your education beyond grade 10 social studies and your critical thinking skills to ask why Kenney is gaslighting Albertans, planning to codify private property rights and providing excuses for remote rural locations!

I believe it’s a cleaverly worded harbinger of what’s to come. UCP intends to codify private property rights. Most don’t understand the implications. Private property refers to corporate ownership to develop natural resources, not just radical farmers protecting the farm.
With a law permitting lethal defence of private property, fossil fuel corporations would be permitted to hire private militias. The reasoning is in Scweitzer’s memo. Distance from established law enforcement. Remote location.
This is the foundation of armed enforcement against environmentalists and indigenous protesters on disputed crown land. Kenney promised to fight back against protesters. So he’s making it legal to shoot to kill unarmed protesters on private or crown land.

That’s what this is.

Walking out on a vote. Blocking climate action. Kenney and UCP walked out on a few votes too.

Canada needs to be prepared for cons to ramp up the obstructionism. Especially since Bill C-69 passed.
Think any progressive party will have an easy time passing climate legislation any time soon? Think again. Petulant, willful obstructionists are awaiting their marching orders.

If you thought things were ugly before, get prepared for a grinding halt of government ability to act.
Also, now you know why CPC wants to loosen the gun laws.

Last year, UN Human Rights Council "Special Rapporteur" Philip Alston investigated America's failed social justice system, and now he's examining Britain. Meanwhile, the only UNHRC Special Rapporteurs who've reported on Cuba & Venezuela, praised their social justice systems.
They may point to real problems, but it's clear these UNHRC experts seek to impose their own far-left economic policies by declaring that these are obligations of international human rights law. But in real life, millions have fled the countries that they hold up as models.
