I actually think this is a smart approach. Implementation is everything, of course, but as a framework it’s a good one.
One important piece: They don’t say tweets from people like Trump will get a pass. Instead, there’s a new yellow-light category, which should make them feel like taking action isn’t an all-or-nothing thing.
It may be, actually, that this new policy makes Trump’s most egregious tweets more likely to be taken down, not less.
