@twittersafety is moving on a very dangerous path towards censorship. The very notion of "marginalized groups" and "historically marginalized" is contestable. The reliance on "experts" even more so. All this terminology emanates from a structure of power.
For instance in the "expert" discourse on India the rhetoric is around "minorities" and "dalits" being "marginalized." But this talk of "minorities" won't be about a small minority religious sect like #RamRahim but of the two world-dominant religions—Islam and Christianity.
These two world-dominant religions have historically ruled India for centuries, and are also the richest and most powerful groupings worldwide, It's their very dominant power-structure that has a lot of experts batting for them in India. 3/n
In reference to the dominance of Islam & Christianity, all native indigenous traditions of the world, including Hinduism are marginalized, but no "expert" will say this. In fact, these same powerful groupings also champion the cause of "dalits" mainly for the conversion war. 4/n
It is not @twitter's business to figure out "historical marginalization" based on these "experts." If it sets a policy it should be even-handed and neutral to all without relying on "experts" to create "special rights" for some based on their theories of marginalization. 5/n
This rhetoric on "dehumanization" is also only relevant in an Abrahamic context where "animals have no soul." In Indic view/languages, using non-human metaphors are common—all life is pervaded with consciousness and valued. "Extermination" of "vermin" comes from Abrahamic-think.
