Hi #development Twitter & #GCDigital. I'm thinking of creating a gentle #Python-based learning session on how applications work for senior executives. I need your help.

My hypothesis == w/ hands-on practice of some simple programming fundamentals, senior folks can better understand modern applications, how they are developed & work + the value of #opensource. Maybe some agile.

This, in turn, leads to understanding the art of the possible, better questions on work being done, potentially practical support for building broader #programming & #DataScience capacity in their organizations & more open access to #opensource tools.

Idea is to build as a @ProjectJupyter notebook running on @GoogleColab & a 1 hour in-person learning session w/ some devs supporting. This shows ease of use, democratic access to tools & scalability.

Basics would include:
- library imports
- variables
- loops
- simple conditional (if)
- functions as building blocks
- Web (requests + bs4) or API call
- data (super simple pandas - read, head & plot)

Questions:
- does this idea make sense?
- does it already exist?
- what are the most important aspects of application development to you & what's the simplest way to teach them to a very smart, non-technical audience?
- what am I missing or how could I make it better?
