Ok, I’ve been stuck at the Apple store for four hours waiting for my iCloud update to complete, so I’ve had time to read over Biden’s healthcare proposal. Sure enough, it’s basically @ewarren’s #ACA2.0 plus a robust public option, which is just fine.
I still can’t fathom why @ewarren has shifted gears to jump completely into the BernieCare pool when she already gave a perfect response back in March. Still hoping she’ll shift back to that stance.
Biden, Warren and the @HouseDemocrats all base their #ACA2.0 proposal subsidy formula on the @urbaninstitute’s “Healthy America”. The House version sticks with Silver for the benchmark, Warren & Biden upgrade to Gold.

#NN19 @SenGillibrand on universal healthcare: Once again, her DESCRIPTION of her approach sounds a lot like #MedicareForAmerica, but she closes by saying she *guarantees* “single payer #MedicareForAll”.

AGAIN: MFAll the BRAND is different from MFAll the POLICY.
(I’m not criticizing her plan, mind you...I’m criticizing her failure to clarify the distinctions)
Also: Shout-out to @_silversmith for pushing the “brand vs policy” point.

⚠️ AN APOLOGY.
Earlier today, I participated in the #NN19 #FixTheDamnHealthcare panel with @lpackard, @ElenaHung202, @mattbc, @DrSriram and @glparodi. For the most part, I thought it went well...between us we managed to cram a ton of complicated policy stuff into an hour. 1/
All of the feedback I received from those who were there in person, as well as those who watched the livestream & who commented via Twitter and Facebook, was very positive. 2/
When @mattbc was introducing his segment on #MedicareForAmerica, he mentioned the hashtag #DoctorsAreDickheads, which I had never heard before. @DrSriram jokingly quipped "why is everyone looking at me?", and I kiddingly said "not all doctors?" to him. This was out of line. 3/

Interesting.. a British tanker in the Persian Gulf has come to a complete stop. Would expect it to start heading south but as of now it's completely stopped.

Boat is the PACIFIC VOYAGER, image of the ship and it's location compared to Iran seen below.
Don't panic or anything, I'm going to monitor this until it makes another movement.
#UPDATE: Boat still stopped, it's status is officially stopped instead of underway using engine. It's at 0.5 knts as of now.

#Biden has always been a disastrous candidate for women and thus far is performing badly as ever.
Biden's rollout in majority black Philly was small, majority suburban and male.
Biden has zero policy, but much baggage.
Biden is NOT our future.
The future is female.
I know no one who is pro-Biden.
Not my MIL who rolls her eyes over Biden but likes Warren nor a single other family member, friend, colleague or neighbor, whether boomer, gen x or millennial.
Polling has been limited and 67% say they are still looking while Biden's numbers drop.
This long, well-researched piece on Biden by @rtraister is the story of Biden & women. It clarifies why he's not the choice for an electorate that has moved left & younger. The excitement is for the women & younger men. Debates will shift the narrative.

If you're jumping in my mentions and defending Biden because you hate Bernie Sanders and think Biden can beat him, please take a moment and consider that FOUR WOMEN have now come forward to accuse a prospective candidate of unwanted touching. PLACE PRINCIPLES OVER POLITICS.
Am I in the twilight zone? Do I really need to explain why an older man (in a position of power) putting his hand on the thigh of a 19-year-old who had just talked about being sexually assaulted is WRONG? Especially when she said she squirmed to get his hand away?

I am scheduled for my 3rd surgery since December on Thursday.
Please do me a favor and promise to call your reps and senators and tell them you support and need the #ACA/#Obamacare and they only have your vote if they reject Trump's efforts to kill it.

It is not.
The #ACA is a law governing insurance companies & forcing them to cover women & people with #PreExistingConditions.
The #ACA also says women cannot be forced to pay more than men for insurance.

I think the real question is "how do we create the means and foundation for the agenda," not the money to pay for it.

We always get money by taxing working class and middle class people.
That's how we pay for the two wars we've been in for over 15yrs.
The #healthcare industry employs millions of Americans.
In the only vision Bernie Sanders has ever presented, that somehow disappears and is replaced by something completely different....by magic. He has never had a plan for it or "breaking up the banks."

The most workable--and quick--plan we could get (if people vote in November and the Democrats regain the House)--is the #MedicareExtraForAll plan.

Getting people to give up their employer-paid insurance will be hard, but this could convince everyone.
