BREAKING: ICE agents ordered to use Palantir's mobile app when they conduct workplace raids.

This is a really crucial story because Palantir bosses keep lying to their workers and telling them their tech is not involved in separating families.

wnyc.org/story/palantir…
Every time a workforce raid happens, think about how that impacts a family: A parent says goodbye to their child in the morning and says "see you after work", that evening the child comes home, but parent has been taken away.

This is devastating for countless families.
It's not just devastating for families directly impacted, they also terrorize literally millions of people who are too scared to go out to places of worship, shops or even out in public, as has been happening for the past few days: theguardian.com/us-news/2019/j…
But let's step back a minute, remember the 7-Elevens ICE raids in 2017? ICE raided nearly 100 stores across the country. In the days leading up to these raids, an ICE supervisor ordered all ICE agents they had to download Palantir's FALCON app.
The FOIAs @georgejoseph94 obtained detail how workplace raids have expanded significantly under Trump. Palantir's tech makes this more efficient targeting possible.
Palantir's FALCON mobile app "allows agents in the field to search through a fusion of law enforcement databases that include information on people’s immigration histories, family relationships, and past border crossings."
It's also important to point out: This tech is not off the shelf. Palantir workers are deeply involved in day to day ICE ops. In one email a Palantir staffer told agents to download the app before the raids. Another one details a staffer helping an agent classify a data point.
Palantir’s programs are being used in the field everyday when ICE is conducting raids. Everywhere you go you see people, average families, going to work and being detained in the raids, and it’s all because of Palantir’s FALCON and ICM product.
If you believe the lie that workplace raids only target "criminals", please read this story documenting Soria's perspective when her mom, Maria, was taken away in a massive workplace raid earlier this year: npr.org/2019/04/03/709…
If you are still working at Palantir, look at yourself in the mirror this morning and ask yourself: Do you want to be this person? Even if you are unsure, do the right thing. Your conscience will thank you in years to come.
