Today STATIN reported that the unemployment of 7.8% in April 2019. This is the lowest level of unemployment in Jamaica’s history.

Employment momentum continues and STATIN notes employment growth in April 2019 over April 2018 in hotels & restaurants (9,800 persons), construction (9,800 persons), real estate and business activities (8,600) persons among other sectors.

Phillip Paulwell is weaponising misinformation. The facts are the Simpson-Miller administration only used 52% of the SCT they imposed in 2015 on an oil hedge which covered only 1/3 of oil imports over the period and expired worthless. #Facts
Reasonable minds can disagree on policy but don’t play with the facts. They are pretending as if ALL of the SCT they raised in 2015 was spent on an oil hedge. Here are the facts:

The campaign has been heavily polarized between left and right.

The right (PP + Ciudadanos + Vox) has focused on #Catalonia, hammering Sánchez's credibility and accusing him of being ready to cut the country into pieces for the sake of remaining in office.

#History/#Art thread – From my recent trip to Madurai/Tirunelveli. On Jain sites (some with a rich history dating back to at least the 3rd cent. BCE), early Pandyan rock-cut cave temples (7th-8th cent. CE) & the amazing Vettuvan koil.

Before I start on the places, the history around all this is fascinating & splits opinion. Is it apt to call the script Tamili/Tamil Brahmi? Did it develop independently in the Tamil country/come with the Jain monks from the north? Were 8,000 Jains actually impaled in Madurai?>

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
The Mom and Dad now have once weekly Skype calls with their 8-month-old baby. That's right, folks. They Skype with an infant. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether
