@APHClarkson @Usherwood The situation in the border counties in Ireland does not comport to these models. For the British the GFA was an event that happened 21 years ago. For us it is a daily experience, our lives and our children's futures are built on it. Taking it away is an existential threat.
@APHClarkson @Usherwood Those of us who are trying to reason with Britain as friends are fighting a losing battle. This is not new, the same situation existed a century ago, reasonable voices were ignored and we had two viscious wars and partition.
@APHClarkson @Usherwood People who are not from here can't understand the speed with which the situation may devolve. Those who underestimate it the most are unfortunately those who are in charge in London. My family are from both sides of the border, I cannot over-emphasise how grim this can get.
