Lack of will & intent by Govt dispensation (ஏதோ நாலு குடுமி கூட்டம் வரும், அதுக்கு இது போதும் attitude. Never expected such a turnout nor planned for it)

Online booking is a scam. Period.
Forget your footwear. No place to drop them or collect back.
Lack of civility by so-called devotees. Cutting queues en masse whilst cops are mere witnesses (can't blame them, they do their vocal best).
Chances of extreme dehydration.

If affordable stay overnight and have early morning darshan (queue starts 3 am)
Stock up plenty of water.✅
Carry snacks (nuts, dry fruits, confectionery, glucose powder sachets)✅
Leave footwear at parking or residence✅

If you are having an morning / noon darshan prepare your mindset for a tough 6 hour onslaught of your senses. If you are mentally prepared the ordeal is much less traumatic. Only folks on Free Darshan queue can empathize with my words (VVIPs, VIPs, Donors & Immortals pls ignore)
