Apple isn't in China due to low wages. Monthly wages in Shenzhen, China are now close to wages in some Eastern European nations. Wages in Vietnam, Philippines etc are a bargain in comparison.

Apple is in China because of supply chains, skilled workers & a huge domestic market.
Even if Nigeria had competent leaders (we don't) and our economic policies were sound (they aren't). It still would be difficult to prosper in this geopolitical context. When Lee Kuan Yew began his Singapore journey, China wasn't integrated into the global economy. They are today
Nigeria has missed many opportunities to reform its economy and compete globally. As recently as the 1980s, we had some of the best universities in Africa, so we could compete on skilled manpower. Today we neither have skilled manpower nor infrastructure, so how do we compete?
