Imagine if Obama had defended Kim Jong Un. Even the slightest showing of a defense of Un would've sent Republicans into an apocalyptic outrage for weeks.

But because it's Trump, Republicans sell more of their souls and applaud the "great dealmaker." Shameful.

This is nothing new, though. Trump has been Trump. Helsinki, Omnibus Bill, the recent budget...Republicans have excused his betrayal of basic Republican principles because he "fights." For what, nobody knows.

Just pause for a second and ask yourself "If Obama had done the things Trump has done as president, would I be outraged and livid?" If you answer "yes," then maybe you should take a moment and ask yourself what matters: allegiance to your party or allegiance to your principles.

Because Trump will leave the WH, whether it's in Jan 2021 or 2025, Trump will leave & a new POTUS will take power. And if you've spent 4 (or 8 yrs) excusing Trump's betrayal of basic decency, morals, & American values then your objection to the new Dem POTUS will be meaningless.

To sum it up for people who don't want to read this thread, it comes down to this:

what matters most to you: the future of your country or the future of your political party?

Think about that because that's the choice you make every single time you remain silent on Trump.
