Much cursing. I left my laptop on the plane. #MaryGoRound

They cannot find my laptop and this @AirCanada customer service rep could not care less.

And by "can't find it" I mean that she asked by walkie talkie once. And then said that she couldn't do anything else to help me.

I'm now leaving the international terminal to go to the domestic terminal to fill out a paper form.

I've cleared customs into Canada so that I can go fill out a form so that they will look for my computer.

And good news? My next flight is delayed until 2:00 a.m. which gives me more time to look for my computer. Have a drink?

Chris at the @AirCanada luggage help desk is very kind and understanding that this is stressful. He has sent a runner to look.

I know that leaving it is my fault, but the first agent made me feel like I had done it on purpose.

To reassure people, I backup religiously, so in the worst case scenario, the only thing I'm going to lose is the work that I did on the plane.

The laptop is no go.

The plane had a fast turnaround because we were late coming into the gate so they did a speedy cleaning and the laptop is probably still on the plane in Indianapolis.

Apparently this is a Negroni.

When I said I wanted it up, the bartender was shocked. "You mean, no ice?"

I went into the airport bookstore, which had no SFF at all. Without my laptop, I was desperate for reading material and nothing looked appealing.

Then! My friend @SusannaKearsley magically manifested a novel on the shelf! Have a drink.

My flight is further delayed to 4am.

Maintenance has finally arrived! They are working in the plane. Have a drink.

Due to the delays, I am going to run out of yarn before we even take off. THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM

Meanwhile in my continuing travel adventures, a self-inflicted detour as I was too tired to note the crucial difference between Street and Road when inputting directions.

Ah. Lovely. There are two locations with the same Road name. We've added the post code AND double checked with a texted picture of a map.

This one, I feel, was not strictly my fault.
