In response to German imperialism's refusal to send military to the Gulf or Syria, the US is threatening the relocation of its forces in Germany to Poland. The alliance between US imperialism and Europe's imperialist powers is evermore fraught. m.dw.com/en/us-threaten…
The relationship between the US and Poland has been considerably consolidated in recent years. It could easily become Washington's primary military deployment location in Europe. From an article I wrote last year: medium.com/@jrbml.public/…
Worthwhile noting that it's not necessarily just Washington that might want the US' troops out of Germany too.

Net zero does not mean zero. It means that emissions will be met by off-setting by 2050. Companies *can* continue to emit as much as they like, as long as they plant trees or, more likely, invest in carbon capture technology to offset their emissions.
One evident problem: there is no need for companies in Britain to lower emissions or even become *hypothetically* carbon neutral until 2050 under this legislation. Theoretically, they can even continue to produce a greater degree emissions until that date.

This article is very useful in aid of understanding the present US strategy toward Russia and China. However, its overwhelming focus upon this military infrastructure leads the author to significantly neglect several political and economic factors. mintpressnews.com/pentagon-plann…
This weakness is mostly keenly felt toward the article's conclusion. It asks the question "why is this happening?", but does not answer it. That this is missing is a significant problem. Without an understanding of the cause, one cannot truly claim to understand the symptoms.
The US' actions are rooted in the international crisis of imperialism. As profitability declines and investment is hoarded, imperialism is forced to desperately seek new markets for exploitation or to destroy capital so that new investment is possible.

This is enormous. Following yesterday's hacking accusations against Russia, Juncker has taken the opportunity to attempt to detach the EU imperialist bloc from the war-drive. sputniknews.com/europe/2018100…
This speaks to both splits between US imperialism and the EU imperialist bloc, and splits within the EU itself. Juncker's framing here links his attempts to secure a detente between Russia and the EU very directly with the Iran deal.
As I have argued, Iran is rapidly becoming a locus for the confrontation between the EU and the US. Whilst the EU remains committed to continuing trade with Iran, it is evident that this is not a simple process.
