As the Washington Post first reported, the hospitals Trump visited after massacres in Dayton and El Paso say he was incorrect when he boasted that doctors came out of operating rooms to meet him: cnn.com/2019/08/23/pol…
It's also worth noting the context in which Trump made this claim. He was asked what he's hearing about gun laws from victims of mass shootings; he didn't respond at all, instead choosing to boast about how he was received at hospitals. 
This stuff is odd to me. I'm citing hospitals who did not say "he lied"; they simply rejected his claim without offering an opinion on whether he was deliberate or misinformed. If I'd said "the hospitals said he lied," I'd get complaint calls.
