Thanks for the PHD thesis but what’s this got to do with my point that white nationalism predates the Bosnian war & Murtaza's orientalist article does not prove a connection? It’s not about anti-imperialism or revisionism, just the attempt to prove a causality which isn’t there
The guy above keeps accusing me of historical revisionism but I was not discussing the history of the Bosnian conflict. @JasminMuj, you chose to launch some bizarre ad hominem tirade against anti-imperialists that is not related to anything I said.
There is no disputing the crimes committed by Serb militias. My point is that it is not unique, nor is it a significant inspiration for the new white nationalism.
You include Maduro alongside Assad & Milosevic but this makes no sense. Maduro hasn’t committed atrocities, doesn’t act like a dictator. No doubt so called anti imperialist regimes can commit atrocities as much as those aligned w empire or those outside imperialist conflicts too
Nor can we blame the US or Israel for all atrocities, that would be absurd. We can blame human nature, unfortunately. As soon as law & order fray the monsters come out. Of course there are similarities between white nationalism & other extreme ethnic or religious based movements.
White racists in the US today, or post civil war era in places like Louisiana used the same language as Rwandan genocidaires, Serb or Croat militiamen, and Sunni, Shia or Alawi militias in recent years, & Lebanese Christian militias in the 80s. This is bigger than imperialism.
On a separate note, while the connection between Serbian nationalism & its atrocities & the white nationalist revival is thin, the connection between the foreign mujahedin who supported Bosnian Muslims and the jihadists of today is very real. bbc.com/news/world-eur…
