Nigerian Professors are scattered all over their Universities. The entire Limpopo Province schools are filled with Nigerian science teachers, and its unheard of that they were attacked. Xenophobic violence is black South Africans facade for settling street crime disputes.

Trouble usually begin when there's cash flow issues and drug dealers default in their payments to SAPS. Since the Policemen can't confront the drug dealers directly, they get even by instigating tsotsis to attack their targets, and chain of events presented as xenophobia begins.
African foreigners dont compete with South Africans in their violent carjacking & bank robbery. Boko haram is learning where South Africans bomb ATM Machines. They equally own the Taxi businesses and control Taxi Ranks. Their commercial buses are called Taxis. Only a few trade.
While our women without qualifications easily settle into hairdressing, catering and selling of GL jewellery, our unskilled men, down there form a ready-made pool of hawkers of narcotics, apart from internet fraud. Ironically, we are well adapted to succeed, more than others. 😀
