The Rebel Alliance doesn't need a Prime Minister. If there is legislation which commands a majority in the House of Commons they can force it through anyway. It's time for them to turn their attention to that.
If Parliament is serious about stopping No Deal, it must address the scenario where the EU refuses an extension. Legislation to address it might comprise an automatic revocation - there being no other alternative - unless a motion to 'No Deal' passed both Houses of Parliament.
It is not my expectation that Parliament will remain suspended for the rest of September and the first half of October. It may well be unsuspended on Wednesday. But if it does, MPs must use the time to draft a further Bill which can be introduced when Parliament re-sits.

Those contemplating that the Inner House was biased and political because it found against the Government must, also, contemplate that the Divisional Court was biased and political because it found for the Government.
In the real world, away from the synthesised outrage of twitter, we all know that how judges think about their role is influenced by their experiences and the world around them - that's why it matters so much that our judiciary is overwhelmingly white, male and from privilege.
The Government set up a working group on a general anti tax avoidance rule and that - rather starry - group more or less said that one of the reasons why we need such a rule was because they feared judges were doing violence to the law in order to deliver the 'right' outcome.

Meanwhile @RobBurl has smeared me publicly and privately and the BBC has guests on who smear me on air or misrepresent the work I do through @GoodLawProject.

This is what the BBC has become.
I don't think the BBC is 'bad', many outstanding journalists work for it. But for some time senior figures have traded independence for access. And (I think) they now curry favour with Govt in return for access in a variety of ways, which diminish the BBC's value as journalism.

1. First let's get a bit of context. The introduction of the FTPA removed the Prime Minister’s ability to call an election at a time of their choosing. Triggering an early election now requires a vote in Parliament.
2. Under the FTPA, there are two ways in which an early election can be called: if the Government tables a Commons vote for a new election or a vote of no confidence in the Government.

#euco met in its EU27 formation meaning the UK Government was not part of the decision-making process. Instead, the Prime Minister spoke to #euco ahead of its considerations. 2/10
The UK will not now leave the European Union on 12 April. Instead a flexible extension has been granted to 31 October. If the Withdrawal Agreement is ratified before then, the UK will leave the EU at the end of the month in which the Agreement is ratified. 3/10

#Khashoggi Case Thread: I am going to ‘pin’ this post to use it as an ‘Info Thread’ on the #Khashoggi Case. I am in #Turkey. I’ve been following the case closely and with access to sources & experts here. This is a very ‘sensitive’ criminal case due to ‘Diplomatic Booby Traps’!!!
The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.
