'How come I feel so rigid when I'm first learning something?'

Because the new neurons are forming.

With practice, the neural pathways will solidify & the moves become fluid.

Don't quit in the rigid stage.

It's only temporary
Your ego is going to make you want to quit in the rigid stage.

Your ego hates failing & feeling rigid.

Makes you self conscious.

Don't fall for the trap though.
The rigid phase is the rite of passage into mastery.

No one is born being good at something.

Some people may have natural talents in a certain field, sure.

But mastery REQUIRES conscious effort.

No way around that.
This is why people who are good at something HATE the comment:

'I wish I was born good at the skill like you are.'

This comment undermines a lot of their hard work
'How do I overcome the rigid phase?'

You make it something that you HAVE to learn.

Put some intent behind it.
Driving for example.

You weren't cruising on the highway the first day.

What about typing?

You probably looked down at the keyboard to type initially.

Now you can type on autopilot.
But in some ways, the rigid phase is good.

It weeds out the pretenders from the contenders.

Not everyone deserves success in a field.
The rigid phase tests/builds character.

Which is why I'm happy that it exists!

Your skillsets or niche doesn't need to get flooded with a bunch of lazy tityboy's.

To hell with them.
Unless you want to be labeled a bum though, just keep showing up.

Your mind is more powerful than you give it credit for.

Tell your ego to quiet down & fail like an OG.

And maintain your enthusiasm while you're fucking up.

Just learn.

That's how a winner is born.
In school: you learn what works & implement it.

In the real world: you learn what doesn't work & eliminate it.

Read that again.
With practice. new neural pathways are formed.

With new neural pathways, fluidity is born.

The rigid task becomes second nature.
Keep fine-tuning your moves & loving every step of the way.

You have been told your entire life: 'find your passion.'

Eh.

Go on & just create one.

You become very passionate about something when you are good at it.
So keep getting good!

Good will turn to great.

And great will have others calling you an overnight success.
This will only happen if you kill in the inner bitch in you, tame your ego & put in work like a G.

Glory awaits....
