Am told that by a Labour source that Jeremy Corbyn is “relieved” that a decision will soon be taken and that conference will decide the party’s Brexit policy, with the decision taken out of his hands.
Am also told they’ve already started planning on how to adopt the Remain position of the conference adoption whilst taking into account those with Leave views in the party and country. Am told “the mood is dark” and they’re generally resigned to defeat.
That said talking to some of those involved in Composite 13 they’re quite pessimistic. Sounds like there’s too much support for Composite 14 on the floor.
