I'll write a longer piece on this Trump/Zelensky transcript over the next few days, but initial takeaways are:

From an impeachment standpoint: this transcript -- and note that this IS an edited transcript, NOT the actual full conversation -- is very bad for Trump.

1/
And this is the part that boggles my mind, because they actually thought it would CLEAR him.

That shows you just how little these people actually understand about what they are doing.

2/
The transcript confirms Trump pressured Ukraine to investigate Biden (something Trump already admitted both verbally and on Twitter), and offers an implied mob-like quid pro quo in return.

Again, confirming what we already know of the whistleblower complaint.

3/
The transcript also confirms what Rudy Giuliani is currently on TV saying in an utterly insane bit of self-incrimination. I.e. that the President's personal lawyer was sent by the State Department AT TRUMP'S BIDDING to Ukraine, to dig up dirt on Trump's political enemies.

4/
IN ADDITION TO THIS, something we didn't know: Trump asked Zelensky for a flavor, literally "I would like you to do us a favor," regarding Crowdstrike and "the server." What's he talking about here? Well...

5/
...Crowdstrike is the company Democrats, specifically the DNC, hired to investigate Russian hacking of their server during the election. And then in that same paragraph, Trump tied that request to dirt on Robert Mueller.

6/
Something else we didn't know: Trump again violates the Emoluments Clause -- I mean, you DID catch that part where Zelensky butters Trump up by telling Trump how he stayed in a Trump hotel, right? You did catch that?

7/
The conversation is only part of the whistleblower complaint.

But it shows you just how malicious these people are. How they don't actually think they are doing anything wrong in attempting to coerce a foreign government into attacking Americans for their personal gain.

8/
This alone is enough to justify impeachment proceedings -- note I didn't say impeachment as in removal from office, I said impeachment proceedings as in the House must do its Constitutional duty now and perform a thorough investigation.

9/
If that leads to conviction and removal, then so be it.

And if it doesn't, for whatever reason, then at least Americans will KNOW the details and they may then decide for themselves at the ballot box.
