Extend Article 50 then oust Johnson? Or oust Johnson so as to guarantee the extension of Article 50?

On the other side we have @joswinson (and I presume also Corbyn) wanting to guarantee Article 50 is extended first
Ousting Johnson - either via a Vote of No Confidence (VONC) under the Fixed-term Parliaments Act, or using the @JolyonMaugham @HelenMountfield route - both have shortcomings
Plus if efforts to extend were to fail, the Commons is really short of time post-19 October
Parliament could - if it takes control of the agenda again - perhaps make the extension route *more* failsafe next week?
