Before the cancer scare. Before the liquor brand. Before the writing. Before the public speaking.

Before @Twitter was a thing.

@Twitter If I could go back in time and tell this asshole what his life would be like now, he's not smart enough to believe me.

Just like I'm not smart enough to believe a future version of me, if he showed up and told me what my life will be like a decade from now.

Both of us are wrongright. Past and present me have so much to learn, so much space to grow, so many personal biases to unlearn, so much more bandwidth to create.

No matter how hard you plan, life has things in mind for you that you cannot predict. Make your plans, but really, fuck your plans. Embrace the chaos. Enjoy the moment, it's already over.

You have no fucking clue what happens next.

@Twitter Learn to go with the flow. Forgive the asshole you were. Forgive the asshole you are now. Learn as much as you can but never know it all; leave some room to expand.

Most important, don't stymie your imagination. It's all bigger and wilder than you can conceive.

@Twitter More random and unpredictable than anyone is comfortable with. You've got limited control over your circumstances and even less control over yourself, and really, why do you need (the illusion of) control anyway?

Just let go. Become what the moment requires of you.

@Twitter If the universe reaches out don't leave it on read; fucking respond. Think the thing you desire/fear will never happen?
