Amidst talk of bits, how about a special thread about trans woman penis?

Move along if you’re squishy on that. This thread is PG-13 or so though.

A trans woman’s penis after a while on hormone therapy is nothing like a cis man’s penis.

If you find yourself considering how you feel about bits because you fall for a trans woman, it’s important to highlight a few things.

Smell, size, function, and texture can change a lot.

The hypersexualization of trans women’s bodies has led to a whole host of depictions of us as if we are walking giant dicks ready to fuck people.

Truth is we are just regular people who’s genital shape isn’t quite as it would be if we were born cis. But hormones go a LONG way.

If you have the opportunity to be intimate with a trans woman who has medically transitioned with HRT, but you find yourself shy about the bits if she’s not had GCS, you should first and foremost NOT expect to find something like a cis male penis.

Hormones themselves are blind to anatomical shapes, so estrogen, for example, acts on the penile tissue the same as it would on the clitoral tissue since they are biological analogues that are shaped differently during gestation. Same starting place though.

I have a giant clit.

What does all this mean?

It means if you like a trans woman, and she wants to be sexual with you, and you’ve never been intimate with anyone with a penis, just know not to expect a cis man’s penis.

Ask how she likes to be treated.

Also, she may or may not want to use it in any given way. Some trans women don’t even want it touched. Ever.

Make no assumptions. Communication and consent is key for enjoying anything sexual with anyone.

Some folks may never consent to it, but let’s be clear on what you’re getting into with a trans woman without GCS who has been on HRT because it’s absolutely not like you’d imagine if you didn’t know better.

Trans women are women. Our bits reflect that in many ways after HRT.

Might as well say it:

Trans women are women, ergo there’s nothing gay about being with a trans woman if you’re a man and nothing straight about it if you’re a woman, irrespective of her bits or whether it’s something you’re ok with personally.

Couple disclaimers in hindsight:

1) HRT =\= woman. You’re a woman with or without it, but HRT changes phenotype in a multitude of ways and will draw more women-phenotype-attracted people. This is relevant for them.

2) Not all trans women have a penis. This is for those that do.
