Margaret Brennan, who interviewed Schiff, of course did not press him on any of this. She gave him the set-up question about whether it was even necessary to interview the whistleblower.
A GOP source told me Tuesday that it looked like Schiff was "laying the groundwork" to backtrack on whistleblower testimony
