Jowhari supports reestablishing diplomatic/commercial relations between Canada & Iran, despite Tehran being the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism & having the highest number executions per capita.

During the Dec 2017/Jan 2018 protests across Iran, Jowhari caused a major uproar by describing Tehran’s ruthless dictatorship as an “elected government.”
