Demonstrators issued a statement saying 1.7 million people in six locations across the country poured into the streets on Sunday. This was Lebanon's largest demonstration in the past 14 years.
There are calls for a general strike on Monday, October 21.

Lebanese Army preventing Hezbollah & Amal members on motorcycles from going through crowds of demonstrators.

My take:
This is a very similar method used by #Iran's IRGC Basij forces to attack civilians & establish a climate of fear.

#Iran-backed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrollah had warned about sending Hezbollah members (seen here mixed with Amal members) to "change the scene."

The Lebanese Army intervened to prevent these militias from causing violence among protesters.
