Hard to overstate how tragic it was that such a dishonorable, cynical politician was the only alternative voters were given to Trump. It’s why so many Americans turn off to electoral politics. I’m also left to wonder what crazy war she would have started if she’d been elected.
Russiagate went beyond Trump. It was also a natsec state confection aimed at indoctrinating liberals into Cold War paranoia. It put a target on any pol who defied the pro-war consensus, making it possible to brand them as Russian agents w/o evidence. Hillary confirmed that today.
It’s clear from the reaction of Hillary’s network to her attack on Tulsi that it was calculated. Leaving aside the venomous quality of the smear, how was it politically wise to target a decorated veteran & minor candidate as a traitor? It reveals Hillary as an embittered bully.
Many admired Hillary for standing up to Trump, but now she is smearing a woman as a traitor who served in the evil war she voted for. And Tulsi doesn’t have a multi-million dollar sleaze operation like Hillary. This bullying & punching down recalls Trump’s attacks on Ilhan Omar.
Hillary has also directed her McCarthyite poison at Jill Stein, a private citizen, suggesting w/o evidence that she’s guilty of a high crime. She’s joining fellow multi-millionaire Trump in bullying left-wing women who challenge the system by questioning their loyalty. Cowardly.
This whole sickening episode reminded me of this photo. It says it all about the kind of leadership imposed on Americans behind the guise of an elite-managed democracy. They casually abuse those weaker than them at home and around the world, laugh, and collect their rewards.
