Don't want to make too much of one line, but: "Durham has also asked whether CIA officials might have somehow tricked the FBI into opening the Russia investigation."

Brings to mind John Brennan claiming that his "concerns... served as the basis for the FBI investigation."

Dems want to impeach Trump for freezing military aid (that Obama refused to give) to compel probes of Ukrainian meddling (that did happen) & Biden (whose son did make $50k/month); all based on testimony from hawks who want to fight Russia in Ukraine. I don't think it's a winner.
Was it unethical for Trump to ask Ukraine to probe Biden & use military aid as leverage? Yes. But I don't think swing state voters will be as upset as Dems & MSNBC hosts. And unlike Yemen, coup in Venezuela, anti-migrant cruelty, and many more, I don't think it's a "high crime."
Correction -- Hunter made *at least* $50k/month. There are reports it was even more, at least $80k/month.

@democracynow It is surreal, and sad, to have to keep urging @democracynow , where I learnt so much about doing actual journalism on critical issues (including by being skeptical of mainstream narratives) to do actual journalism on Russiagate, a most critical issue.

Thoughts on Bill Taylor's statement: most damning thing he has is what he heard from Morrison secondhand (pic 1). OK, maybe he's right. What's also clear (pics 2-4) is that he's an anti-Russia hawk devoted to fueling a US-Russia proxy war, which got threatened w/ weapons freeze.
Missing from all of this, so far, is first-hand confirmation of any Ukrainian official being explicitly informed of a quid pro quo. Maybe the message was implicit enough, or maybe direct evidence will emerge. We'll see when Sondland returns and hopefully Morrison, Yerkak testify.
They will also have to clarify exactly what the nature of these desired Ukrainian investigation was -- Burisma? 2016 interference? corruption? All of those are separate & often mistakenly conflated.
