Seriously. On the day it was announced the leader of ISIS was killed the President was so despised he got mercilessly booed by a crowd that called for his prosecution and all these people want to do is wring their hands and lecture about respect for authority.

Man. Alive.
This is a special level of dumb. Just because a man becomes president doesn’t mean he deserves respect or reverence. If he’s a criminal, he’s a criminal. If he’s disgusting, he’s disgusting.
The bootlicking in this country is off-the-charts and needs a serious and overdue reckoning. Reverence for titles and status is the fastest trek to fascism, folks. Get a clue and get it in a hurry.

We have to draw the line between Trump’s corruption and the unchecked greed by the billionaire class. Both are post-political, both are motivated by a principleless, never ending quest for more, and both threaten to tear apart the very idea of society.
It’s not a coincidence that we’re facing both crises in this very moment. We’ve watched top-down ideology run rampant, hurt people, and create an unequal society where law and duty and basic human decency have lost meaning.
Trump and the billionaires see politics and law as impediments, useless things that only slow them from getting what they want when they want it. This moment is defined by the very shredding of politics and law, by their very endangerment.

Apologies, but I'm not particularly moved by billionaires arguing against investing in healthcare and education and infrastructure and basic human dignity because they might have fewer billions of dollars.
And, while we're at it, let's stop talking about taxes as if they're penalties and not citizens paying their fair share of the cost of conducting a shared and operating society. That was a rhetorical trick operated by Republicans, and it's done unbelievable damage.
Part of the problem is we talk about billions of dollars without putting it into context. How about, when talking about the amount of money someone like Bezos or Gates or Bloomberg would be taxed, we put the figure in terms of schools funded?

The insistence by billionaires that everyone should suffer austerity because they’re too talented or important to be bothered by taxes or oversight was dealt a major blow by Donald Trump’s blatant incompetence. His bumbling might make a difference.
For some people the myth of the competent wealthy is what led to the worldwide globalist system where the market was trusted to pick winners and losers. Well, it’s picked a lot of losers as winners because, surprise, it’s inherently rigged to advantage the already-powerful.
The appeals against the ultra-rich and the overly-powerful are bolstered by Trump’s glaring lack of talent. He’s failed up his entire life, has been aided by an economy, judicial system, media, and social order that privileges the privileged. For some, that broke the spell.

It makes sense for Baghdadi to choose an unlikely place like Idlib, but I’m frankly surprised he wasn’t in Iraq. Syria was never going to be a good hiding place. Very likely he was moving around & most likely Turkey was involved.
This area of Syria is like an open book for Russia, the Syrian regime, and/or Turkey. Plus it’s high concern for the US, considering al-Qaeda and international terrorism.
Additionally, ISIS cells have been a frequent target of other rival jihadists in that area. That’s an added enemy for him to live there.

It must’ve been a temp domicile.

If I have to guess, he moved there right after that video when he appeared for the 1st time since 2014.

1)Breaking: Reports that #ISIS leader #Baghdadi killed in a #US op in #Idlib, #Syria. No official confirmation yet. ISIS silent on the matter thus far. Tho various reports in the past claimed his death, this claim def carries more weight.
2) If confirmed, Baghdadi’s death is a huge blow to #ISIS & its intern network. However, based on group's history (death of Zarqawi & other leaders), ISIS has illustrated its operational resiliency, and will def capitalize on Baghdadi’s death for recruitment & calls for attacks
3) Tho #Idlib would not be first guess as to his whereabouts, it’s not surprising at all. #Syria was #ISIS' stronghold in the country, and it’s leadership still holds prominence in region. Idlib is still a hub of various jihadi groups including #AQ affiliates.
