Government spokesman confirms that if amendment for extension of franchise to 16/17 year olds and EU citizens passes, the government will pull the bill.
Nothing would sum up this period in our politics better than all parties agreeing they want an election and then finding a way for it not to happen.
I think I'm right in saying no other member state of the EU allows EU citizens who are not citizens to vote in their national elections.
