"ESKOM's fleet of coal plants is a disaster by Industry standards. In addition to virtually no required preventative maintenance for almost ten (10) years, plants were further damaged by systemic use of wrong grades of coal. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😭
Critical piping which transfers steam to turbines have been damaged, as have milling, ash handling and disposal equipment. And ESKOM for no credible reason decided to construct Medupe and Kusile without EPC contractor in charge. 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🙆‍♂️🙆‍♂️
ICRO: In 2020, the total interest that ESKOM has to pay on its borrowings will exceed (EBITDA) while net operating losses will spiral out of control to 40BN. (Get this fixed in your mind)🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙆‍♂️🙆‍♂️

Many will naturally find the language used in the report robust and cold. But there is no need to sugar it. The state has messed around with Eskom for too long and the country's sovereignty may be compromised. Frankly the lenders have more say on Eskom.

Somebody out there plse explain to me: What has happened and continues to happen to, and in, this party of Tambo and his ilk? Theres rot all over. 1) Municipalities under ANC have been destroyed and collapsed by party engineered corruption and patronage.
2) SOEs that are vital instruments of economic growth have been broken and looted by ANC cadres deployed there to create avenues for plunder. Those who resisted were fired. 3) The public service has been degraded through incompetence and No accountability
4) The criminal justice system was systematically degraded and rendered toothless under the watch of the ANC. Plse help me understand. How can a party embrace corruption as an enterprise without affecting society? Yet, no politician is in jail. God help us.

The overall target of France's strategy for #energy and #climate is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 through cutting GHG emissions down significantly and also increasing carbon sinks
France wants to cut #CO2 emissions down to 227 Mt in 10 years by cutting final #energy consumption 14% and primary #energy from #fossilfuels by 35%. Also, increasing #renewable heating and doubling the #electricity from renewables. Note: transport emissions vanish by 2050.
