During debate on House impeachment rules @DevinNunes claims that the majority is "acting like a cult" who are "loyally following their leader." Most have said that is how Trump defenders like Nunes are acting in ignoring the substance of his actions and attacking the procedure.
.@RepRaskin says that the House impeachment inquiry has "uncovered a substantial body of evidence"that Trump "has violated the Constitution by putting his political interests above the interests of the country."
Instead of addressing the substance of the impeachment inquiry @Jim_Jordan attacks the whistleblower and how the complaint was brought to Congress. He complains that the resolution, which would have open hearings, gives power to a "secret" process.
.@RepDougCollins complains that during the impeachment inquiry, "our committee (Judiciary) has been neutered." "I do not know what happened to our committee but it still exists."
.@RepLizCheney says involving the Intelligence Committee in the impeachment inquiry leaves America vulnerable to outside threats. (The committee continues to serve its national security function while investigating Trump's violations).
