I think Trump has maybe a 50-50 chance to win reelection, which is not great for an incumbent president with a strong economy, but also means we shouldn't assume that any Democrat will wipe the floor with Trump.
But then again, polls this far out aren't very informative.
But if you're not psychologically prepared for the possibility of a Trump victory - if you think this is an impossible, unthinkable event - then you are burying your head in the sand. Incumbents have an advantage, the economy is still fine, etc. Trump is definitely in this race.
