Today is the gurupujai of one of the 63 nayanars in Shavaism- ninRachIr nedumARa nAyanAr. He ruled major parts of todays South India from 640-670 CE. This thread attempts to recount some of his glorious history on an auspicious occasion of Ninracheer Nedumara Nayanar Gurupujai. 
It is conceivable that due to numbness, absence of chance and different factors one happens to fail in life. In any case, the return of those individuals to the glory by some factor is something sublime.
Such a genuine individual gets veneration and distinction among all others and is regarded as great. The king who came in the lunar lineage of pANdiyas and who ruled from madhurai was nedumARanAr.
He was called kUnpANdiyan on account of the hunch he had in the back and was influenced by Jainism. The ruler's awful governing was restored by the marvelous holy person thirunyAnachampandhar, so was his slouched back fixed and as a result became a staunch shaivaite.
He turned in2 the ninRachIr nedumARa nAyanAr (nedumARar who stood impeccable) by the prayer of his Queen maNgaiyarkkarachiyAr and minister kulachchiRaiyAr , and ofcourse blessings from the Charming Lord Shiva He was a wonderful admin and he built a check dam across Vaigai...
