And if you had to name 1 country specifically, why not pick the supposed-to-be “post-Brexit special partner”, aka the USA? Why Australia?

If Jo Swinson is elected -on the promise to stop Brexit- then what it means is that she'll have a very totally democratic mandate to honor her election promise to stop Brexit.
End of.
Also let's remember here that Leave voters who still want to leave DO NOT want a 2nd referendum as they consider it anti-democratic. Yet if Corbyn is elected (and stick to his promise) they will get an anti-democratic right to use their pretty democratic right to vote.
Last, people who want to use their democratic right to elect a PM who wants their democratically elected representatives not to be able to represent them can vote for Tories
May I point out that *this* -tho the media fail to tell you- is the ONLY anti-democratic stance in #GE2019

I can't say I'm surprised to see the Tories using migrants as scapegoats, so they can blame others for *their* awful results after years in power. Old news.
What I cannot understand is why * @UKLabour* also chose to blame migrants -rather than Tories.

Almost feels like Tories and @UKLabour are playing a ”How much can your voters take before they give up?” contest

The EU's 5th #AML Directive requires 'public registers of beneficial owners' of companies. Tory leaders since 2015 desperately tried to exempt UK trusts, crown dependencies + tax havens from this law. Will expose vested interests + tax evaders. Hence #brexit haste.
In fact they don't intend to implement the public registers of company ownership in UK crown dependencies fully, EVER.
It would be the end of them.

Other EU countries don't have such lax donor and registration rules so don't appreciate the shockwaves caused by 5th AML in UK.

.@EmmanuelMacron comments reflect a real exhaustion in EU over #Brexit. One senior EU official told me there wd now be no appetite to open the deal again - interestingly not because of substantive concessions EU made - but bc negotiations pushed EU process close to breaking 1/
point. Text was only ready 3hrs before Council. Member states didn't feel like they got to properly scrutinise the details "line by line." Did it bc they saw @BorisJohnson wanted a deal. "We can't do more now." On A50 extension, there's been no real debate. If deal goes down 2/
tmrw & request is in line with Benn Act, @eucopresident will do a round of phone calls & if not contentious, cd agree to delay by written procedure. So "Tusk will take the temperature." If EU leaders have to meet, that will be a strong signal that there's real opposition 3/

And even if Remainers take a deep breath & drop the racist/ignorant/too old to care attacks, nothing changes that basic fact
@suzanne_moore 3) By any measure a majority did not vote to be poorer, and they were told in no uncertain terms that they wouldn't be, that the only impact of #Brexit will be £350 Million for the NHS.

Even today on Twitter you will find people confidently saying "the EU will cave"

1. He began with the stick and ended with the carrot of an ambitious free trade deal (but the carrot has strings.) 1/
In sign of strong EU support for Ireland, MB stresses that N.Ireland is already a separate regulatory space to rest of UK. A push to keep NI in Single market and customs union 2/
MB took a hammer to Brexiters' cherished assumptions of freedom from but selective participation in EU regulation. Was withering on no deal cheerleaders 3/
