1) I call out Andrew Yang's harmful conspiracy theories, because someone has to

2) Yang's base attacks me

3) Other liberal pundits see an opportunity to score cheap points by jumping in and dishonestly attacking me

Political punditry is even more of a cesspool than politics.
This isn't about Yang or his base. Of course they're attacking me; they don't want what I'm saying to be true. The problem is the other pundits. They won't call Yang out because they don't want to take heat from his base. Then they smear me after I do their job for them.
I feel sorry for liberal pundits who think their job is to get ahead by pandering to whatever narrative is trendy on the left that day, and by dishonestly attacking other pundits.

I thought the job of a pundit was to educate voters, so they have the opportunity to vote smartly.
I could pander to Yang's base by telling them that the phony "conspiracy" against him is real, and they'd become fanatically loyal readers of mine. Easy way to get ahead. But I'm not going dishonestly pander to people. It's just not worth it.
One fairly prominent liberal pundit strongly implied that I'm a racist because I said Yang is being "whiny." This pundit was willing to go that far down the rabbit hole to score cheap points against me. It's embarrassing. Do none of them care about the outcome of the election?
Anyway it's not about me. You all should just be aware that some of the liberal pundits with the best "reputations" are the ones who just pander to you all day, while some of the most honest pundits have the worst reputations because the panderers make a point of targeting them.
Yang's cult is now accusing me of being paid by MSNBC to smear him. They're that far off the deep end. Yet instead of backing me up in calling out this insanity, other liberal pundits are using it as an opportunity to score cheap points. Punditry is a giant cesspool. End of rant.
