Sadly this needs to be done again
The chief rabbi writes in The Times
(This is not going to be a nice thread so look away now)
First up @MattChorley gets it right
But immediately the “flip side is”
“It’s so boring piss off and join the tories”
Peter agrees it is boring
And the cones the whataboutery
The Chief Rabbi is wrong ...
Emma doesn’t know what to think but ...
whataboutery is far behind
Elms (FBPE) has ‘evidence’
I think Elms (FBPE) is suggesting we shouldn’t listen to the Chief Rabbi’s concerns
More Whataboutery from a “Doctor of the working class”
“False allegations, smears and scare tactics”
It is obviously all down to Murdoch
And telling the Chief Rabbi that “the position of a snakes belly is too high for him” isn’t a great look
“How conservative is the Chief Rabbi” asks Pat who says @a lifelong anti racist campaigner is being smeared”
Neil days 0.06%
Now from me
Firstly attacking the Chief Rabbi for raising genuine fears and concerns is adding to the problem and amplifying the total denial of the issue

As an @UKLabour member I’m saddened, angry and sickened that we haven’t dealt with this issue

We should be reaching out
Expressing our genuine sorrow and vow to do better, do more and keep doing more until we have removed the hate from our party

Yes we should be outraged but not at the Chief Rabbi - we should be outraged at the replies, the antisemites, the apologists and deniers
And sorry got the typos - I’m tired, a bit angry and very sad
I can’t imagine how Jews feel reading the responses - every bloody time people get it so wrong
And finally the official @UKLabour response
No acknowledgement, no apology just the same old tired response with a bit about the manifesto tagged on
It is so very sad
And onto part 2
The #BBC report the Chief Rabbi’s comments
Already you know the reaction isn’t going to be good
Michelle jumps in with “there’s no such thing as race, therefore no such thing as racism
I wonder if she would say that to, as an example, the parents of Stephen Lawrence
And quickly follows up with “does God have a political view”
I can see a real problem answering that but
“Kamoo” asks “what the hell is a Chief Rabbi...”
John says “he (the Chief Rabbi) can fuck off”
Another tax dodger - I think that is probably a version of a trope
He’s being blackmailed as “he’s no fecking angel”
And why doesn’t he speak about the housing crisis asks William
I wonder why Jeremy Corbyn hasn’t talked about bar mitzvah’s - is that how this works?
And the end of this is the classic denial and whataboutery
It is all about Tory poll ratings
Take care and remember beating up on and throwing hate at the Chief Rabbi really proves his point
