Headline numbers

In 506 of 573 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (⬆️71) seats the voting tools don't differ in their recommendations

In 21 of 573 (⬇️ 53) seats the tools differ, but these are safe seats so it doesn't matter

In 46 of 573 (⬇️ 18) there is disagreement still (or I disagree!)
Important changes

These seats there was dispute - now there is not!

In these seats clearly back Labour:
Altrincham and Sale West
Basingstoke
Croydon South
Daventry
Derbyshire Dales
Elmet and Rothwell
Filton and Bradley Stoke
Haltemprice and Howden
Hemel Hempstead
Hendon
Hexham
In these seats back Labour (cont):
Macclesfield
Putney
Rushcliffe
The Wrekin
Truro and Falmouth

In these seats now clear to back Lib Dems:
Buckingham
Note that this data update has not made any changes to the recommendations for Scotland or Northern Ireland in my post

The very idea that Andrew Neil will *not* interview Boris Johnson during #GE2019 worries me a lot - for the sake of UK politics, and for the future of the BBC too

I will explore the aspects of this in the thread
First a caveat: Neil is a divisive character. I tend to not trust him. Others take the opposite view. But for the sake of this thread let's not argue about whether Neil is good or bad.

Like it or not, Neil is the BBC's most prominent political interviewer. We start from there.

Excellent points my friend. As one who would write laws if she won, she did make a very stupid mistake in projecting guilt onto someone without the first shred of real evidence submitted in a court of law all because of some known shit poster whose aim was to create mayhem.
The whom she is challenging is one Rep. Ilhan Omar who in her own right is reprehensible enough so we do not have to go there.

One of her challengers is Danielle Stella who made the statement without fact.
So according to her defenders it is OK for Stella to make stupid and baseless claims from a tweet for a charlatan who calls himself the Imam of Peace.

Glass houses people.

Tactical Voting for Students
If you're a student, you can register to vote at 2 addresses:
- your home address
- your term-time address.
You can only vote ONCE, but you can choose where you vote so long as you registered at both addresses.

Now, your vote might have much more "power" at home, or away. For example, your home address might be in a "one party seat" (i.e. one that never changes hands) but your term-time address is in a competitive seat, or vice versa.
So if you want to maximise the tactical value of your vote, think about the characteristics of the two places you *could* vote, then vote in the "correct" one (you can register to do it by post if that helps).

Reading through @OtherProfGreen summary of the 9th August #UK event, the similarities to the 25th August 2018 #Australian separation event across the #NEM are very interesting to observe.
Firstly, they are all attributed to lightning strikes.

And although the #UK one was easy to identify, the #QLD one took a bit of forensic investigation as it happened at a time that no weather warnings were out for the area.
Both events attribute an initial loss of generation due to disconnection of #distributed #generation #DG

I will get back to this point later, because it is probably the most interesting aspect of both events!!

Excellent threat as ever by the former chief lawyer of the #EU Council. I'd add a couple of things below:
What is underestimated both by Remainers and on the continent: the importance of Brexit actually happening. At this stage a no-deal would trigger that irreversible event. So even as coming back to the table (maybe days or weeks after) wld be painful, the deed will have been done
Achieving that irreversible Brexit is hugely important for Brexiters, and the accompanying costs would be seen as acceptable (by them) as a way out of the present stalemate.

UK flagged oil/chemical tanker STENA IMPERO doing something interesting at the moment. It's port is the opposite way of where it's heading, and it's heading directly for the #Iran|ian island of Qeshm.. 🤔
The track of this ship is incredibly concerning, if it continues on it's track towards Iran, which it's only 9.5 nautical miles from..
