We have to stop treating the GOP as if it’s a legitimate party and not a group dedicated to power. The principles and issues have been tossed aside. They’re playing a post-political game while everyone’s still trying to explain them via politics.
The Muckrake is dedicated to identifying the crisis, steeping it in history, philosophy, and giving the chaos context to demystify what these bad actors are doing in hopes of finding our way out. It all starts by admitting this political moment is a crisis.
We’re not going to be treating this as politics as usual or as a horserace. It’s not about strategy or maneuvers. It’s about figuring this thing out, rejecting spectacle, and having serious, vital conversations.
