Anyway the president knows that he can fire the FBI director for being insufficiently loyal to him personally and Republicans will rally around him and Democrats will let it go because that already happened.
Bongino kidding aside, if Trump decides to fire Wray he'll probably replace him with one of the House Judiciary Republicans he sees defending him on Fox all the time. FBI director is a lot of work for any current Fox employee who currently gets paid a lot of money to do little.
