1) UK media was heavily biased towards Tories and against Labour during the election campaign.

Heavy propaganda campaign worked and enabled the result the press barons desired.

This is delivering a government for the oligarchs running UK.

2) For instance, Rubert Murdoch, has been influencing UK politics with propaganda campaigns since the 60s when he started building his media empire of Sun, Times and Sunday Times.

The candidate he has supported has always become the PM since the 80s. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Mu…
3) The propaganda campaign against Corbyn has been very fierce.

"Our analysis shows that Corbyn was thoroughly delegitimised as a political actor from the moment he became a prominent candidate and even more so after he was elected as party leader." lse.ac.uk/media-and-comm…
4) Even BBC played a role in the propaganda campaign.

They used the title "General election 2019: Ads are indecent, dishonest and untruthful"

But in reality, 88% ads of Conservatives were lies whereas the percentage for Labour was 0%. google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.…
5) The reasons behind this smear campaign again Labour are clear.

Corbyn proposed to increase the public sector in UK and decrease the wealth inequality, as well as make the corporate world pay their fair share of taxes.

It was all about policy, not person.
6) What made the character assassination campaign against Corbyn effective was the fact that it was begun the day he ecame a threat, when he became Labour leader.

After that the campaign only intensified. anotherangryvoice.blogspot.com/2016/07/the-ma…
7) Majority of the policies Corbyn's Labour proposed are massively popular in UK.

But these policies, if reported in the media, were misrepresented, distorted or completely lied about. As a result, people were in general left uncertain about what Labour's policies were.
8) To conclude, UK has no functioning democracy to a large extent corporate media, owned by a handful of billionaires, distorts the political playing field in favour of hard-right extremism.

People cannot make political choices lacking reliable information.

Propaganda works.
9) Character assassination works. If a party leader is demonised for years by virtually the whole media, people start believing it.

This happens even if this person is the most decent person imaginable with integrity and high morals.
10) People less affected by austerity and wage depression vote for the Conservatives, notably the elderly, who also rely on the print media the most.

This demonstrates that propaganda works.
11) "The media are there to support the candidate or candidates who agree to sell off more and more public services for short-term profit, allowing the corporate vultures to pick hungrily at their carcasses."

This is the key. It is all about policy. jonathan-cook.net/blog/2019-12-1…
12) BBC is not only playing a part in right-wing media disinformation war, but now actively seeking to silence dissenting voices.

These developments undermining media freedom and democracy in UK should not be taken lightly.
