A debate. But ask each Dem candidate to calculate how each available insurance plan in IA, NH, NV, and CA would cover at what cost hypothetical illnesses including cancer, pregnancy, and a set of medications. At debate show math & recommend which plan to choose.

1/
Yes, the illnesses must remain vague because that is the position Americans are in when they choose policies before diagnoses.

2/2
And as most people do not get to choose their insurance but instead choose their employer who makes that decision, also, look at plans offered by the major employers in the states. And make a recommendation as to whether to leave your job in order to get a better plan

3/
To be clear, most families pay each year in health insurance what it would cost to buy a car. In fact premiums are more than the typical down payment & monthly payment on a car. And yet, our employer selects it. Sometimes there is a choice. Not with my job.

4/
In addition, at any time, and employer can decide to change plans and make it more expensive for employees. That happened at my workplace a few years ago. And now this year, they change plans again. This is not a criticism of them, it’s just pointing out that

5/
For many millions of us in America deciding what health insurance to select is really a multifaceted question and more fundamentally is a question of whether to leave a job (if that even more possible) for another one where the health insurance is better.
