Today #SteveBarclay announced he has signed legislation to repeal the European Communities act 1972. #Parliament is not in session. Which date has been set for the repeal? Did parliament have a chance to scrutinize this process?
The May regime ignored the house of lord's amendment not to repeal this act on Brexit day (ERG pressure meant the commons ignored that). Is #SteveBarclay using #HenryVIII powers here to any extent? There was meant to be a transition after exit day...

This is the act that makes the UK a member of the #singleMarket, #Euratom.

🎀Another thread about #cancer and a #nodealbrexit🎀
I remember when I was recalled after my mammogram, and told I had #breastcancer
Your whole world stops
Right there.
Your plans, your future, your hopes, your dreams.
Stopped in a heartbeat.
And replaced by cold fear
#brexit
You go away, and you try to remember what you were told, about the treatment, what will happen, what will happen after wards, and all you struggle to do is get through the next breath ... and the next... because #CANCER is such a BIG word that it is crushing you
#stopbrexit
And you look into your partner's face, and he (she) is white, and frightened. And you phone your son/daughter, and there is THAT SILENCE for a few seconds before they speak.
That is what #cancer does: it destroys your body, & your family.
None of you walk on the same ground as BC

I have fought every single day to stay alive. I’m alive bcos we belong to #Euratom European atomic energy community - it also deals with medical radiation treatments.

I also rely on the British participation in the ERN’s. These are European Reference Networks which allow collaboration across EU member states and they do essential work on #rarediseases making my, & many other ppl’s, treatment possible.

“Growing up, my family were always going on about how #immigrants are to blame for many things wrong in this country. In 2016 @fiocca1983 thought “We don’t need #EU to trade, we can do deals with the rest of the world instead. 2 weeks to get #Doctor’s appointment! Less #immigrants would make that faster for sure!” He tells @PMPmagToday @RemainerNow #Brexit @PeoplesVote_UK vip.politicsmeanspolitics.com/2018/08/21/i-v…

5th July 2018 will be the 70th birthday of our beloved #NHS.

This THREAD argues that it is in severe danger under this #Toryshambles government, with #Brexit posing an imminent & particularly invidious threat.

To #SaveOurNHS we must work tirelessly together to #StopBrexit.
1/ Today's devolved #NHS is a complex federation of tens of 000s of orgs employing some 1.7m workers. It's combined annual budget is just shy of £150bn. It handles, overwhelmingly successfully, almost a million patients daily.

With each box maybe 000s of orgs, & England only:
2/ Unresolved public health issues & a fast-expanding multi-morbid elderly population, coupled with chronic underfunding & the blowback from the butchery of social care since 2010 means the #NHS is pressured as never before.

All medias, when they talk about @The3Million EU citizens living in the UK and #Brexit, they talk about families and how they can become very vulnerable.
But my story is not covered by this situation and is not unique.
We're vulnerable without a family to support us. Thread 1/20
I came in the UK in Oct 2013 to follow a boyfriend that I had by that time and because I wanted to leave France.
I thought that would be a great opportunity as lots of french young professionals want to go to the UK. That was my chance. 2/20
I was an Electrical Engineer in France with an equivalent of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical engineering. I did not know the English language very well and most important, the British Standards. But I did my 50% of my Bachelor in Germany so I thought I'll be alright. 3/20
