I'll do a video next month, but 25,000 Brits work in the seasonal holiday sector in mainland Europe. They're interviewed in the UK and start immediately. (I applied 31 Jan, Started 22 Feb)
A 6 month visa/work-permit application means Brits just can't work there.

Lucky for him it's the US branch of the same company he's at now. How many employers do you think will wait that long?

One beautiful (yet devastating) irony of Brexit, which I've learned our here:
Without Free Movement, the 25,000 Brits who work in the hotel industry across Europe now, just won't be there.
So Brits who go on holiday will have to start learning European languages a lot more!
I know it's irrelevant now but We've had 3 major democratic events since the referendum was called and I'm STILL learning new information about the impact of this thing.
One more bit of fun... That's 25,000 mostly young jobs that Boris Johnson will need to replace.
The UK is currently around the middle of the pack when it comes to European youth unemployment... Currently...

I just made the same decision he made at the end of season 4 / start of 5.
Really hope it's the right one. I do think any other decision would have been naive and arguably selfish in the circumstances.
(I know the analogy is harsh. But I mean party politics generally)
For the "uninitiated"... Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a show which explores the challenges of growing up through the metaphors of various monsters and enemies. Angel (the spin-off) explores early adulthood.
For the first four seasons, Angel leads his own team in the fight against evil. In season five he entered an organisation he used to fight because its resources would allow him to do more good.
It's an analogy for how adults have to enter flawed systems to make real change.

I'd love to switch off twitter. I'm physically, mentally & emotionally exhausted.
But Labour seems to want to sculpt its new leader out of the mould of the one that just delivered its worst defeat in 84 years and I don't fancy Boris Johnson as PM for 10 years.

Labour Leader June 2016: "52% has voted to leave, but over past few weeks we've heard many different versions of what leave could look like. So esp. as 71% of Labour voters voted Remain, the fully negotiated Brexit must be put against that."
Labour wouldn't have alienated the Remain voters who switched to the lib Dems (Corbyn aside), and the simple fact that Leave voters wanted incompatible things would have been in the public conversation from the start, so even Labour leaders would have been sympathetic to that.
