Trump's real danger is not racism or culture war nonsense that Nigerian "conservatives" eat up as the idiots they are.

It's that is that he's providing a template for how to hack democracy using the most successful democracy as a guinea pig.

Dictators are watching and learning.
He has taken a 150 year-old democracy and completely subverted it in just three years. He has rigged court benches and his party has enabled gerrymandering to basically create a system of minority rule.

Budding dictators from Abuja to Dodoma are taking notes.
The new dictatorship of the 21st century won't be in military clothes - it won't need to. It will have elections and courts and constitutions and all the paraphernalia of a functioning democracy.

But Trump has showed his brethren how to hack all of this and get what they want.

This statement "we all know," got so many innocent people killed during the military era, because in the absence of proper legal processes and stuff like burden of proof, dictators could simply order hits on people 'perceived' to be "corrupt."

Here's a personal story.
BTW if dad was live, I would never tell this story but he's dead so, sorry dad. The world had to know at some point.🤷🏽

The year is 1990 and D.F. Hundeyin has just been promoted to Director, Lagos State Ministry of Lands. Apparently the seat is a goldmine, but oga has no idea.
There is a well-oiled system of patronage supporting that seat, ensuring that every land allocation and C of O issuance in Lagos greases a network of palms in the ministry.

Of course my straightlaced, foreign-educated dad only wants to work and collect his salary so...problem.

When they're flying the Kagame kite, no one will mention that only 51% of Rwanda has access to electricity. Even Nigeria is doing better (60%).

They won't mention that Kagame's fantastic country has only tarred 9% (1,000km) of its roads.
They won't mention that only 7% (seven percent!) of Kagame's fantastic banana republic has access to the internet.

I wonder why greedy Nigerian leaders who don't want accountability would salivate when looking at Rwanda...🤔🤔🤔🙄
They definitely won't mention that Kigali, their African wonder city is just 730 sq km, which is smaller than Ilorin (765 sq km).

If all the resources of Rwanda's 26,000 sq km are poured into an area smaller than Ilorin, then smack me with a feather! Imagine the clean streets!🙄
