The British Library @britishlibrary has a big upcoming exhibition on Women's Rights: Unfinished Business (in April)

bl.uk/events/unfinis…
Will it include what @helenlewis described as "the most vibrant feminist meeting of the year...packed hall, felt like the birth, or rebirth, of something. A feminism unafraid to talk about the female body. A rejection of the extremes of identity politics. newstatesman.com/politics/femin…
Will it cover the controversy between feminists who think that women's sex based rights depend on being able to define the two sexes clearly, and those who think that talking about women as people with female bodies is old fashioned and exclusionary? Or will it go for #nodebate?
Remember @PHMMcr found this sticker with the definition of woman "hostile" and removed it from an exhibition on protest
Will it cover any of this? Or will it pretend this is not happening?
I'm not all that hopeful. Here are some clues.....

"Period poverty" is a made up non-issue in the UK, it is feminist activism for show, to no real end.
"Women and non-binary people of colour" 🙄

Why does an exhibition about women's rights need to tell the story of "non binary people of colour"? Black women are women. Men who identify as non-binary are not (whatever their colour)
Sisters Uncut.....🙄.....
That's Sisters Uncut that organises protests and tries to shut down meetings to discuss gender identity legislation and women’s sex-based rights. feministcurrent.com/2018/04/27/tra…

Who defended Tara Wolf, a male person who physically assaulted a 61 year old woman.
"Inequality is unequally distributed" [....ok...🤔] "based on social constructs.... such as education, gender identity and sexuality".......🙄

Hold up. What?

In an exhibition about women's rights, and inequality based on *sex* does not get a mention??
"Sex work".... 🙄 [...."is work", no doubt....]
Of course the British Library does not have to take a side.

Are women people with female bodies? Or are they people with a feminine gender identity? There are different views.

An exhibition on "The Fight for Women's Rights" is surely going to profile this live debate, right?
