Tucker may or may not be accurate in the specifics, but his overall view is worth considering. Millions of Republicans feel burned and betrayed by our blind trust in leaders and institutions unworthy of that fealty. We won’t be fooled again. So, thanks, Bill Kristol.
Trump has exposed their arrogance, entitlement, and dishonesty in a way I couldn’t have imagined a few years ago. It is sickening that maniacs like Brennan and Clapper and Comey were in charge of anything. And their minions, the George Kents of the world, are no better.
The killing of #Suleimani seems the correct move for many reasons. But we are right to be wary where this is headed. The boosterism by the neocons gives me reason to be skeptical about the trajectory of this action. So, it’s not just acceptable but required that we ask questions.
