Not correct. US farm lobbies are a crucial part of support for their FTAs (EU farm lobbies similarly for theirs), US farmers regard EU (and currently UK) food rules as protectionist, and hard to imagine any US trade deal leaving such barriers in place.
A US trade expert suggests the US might settle for not removing all UK food barriers. Note when I suggest "hard to imagine" or "difficult" I really don't mean impossible. So will be interesting to see
Turns out I was relatively polite about a US trade deal and food... and @alanbeattie has walked the trade deal road many times before
