In August 2016, WashPo FOIAed the outside agency tasked with Afghan War oversight for Flynn interview. The agency refused. It finally turned over the Flynn interview in Dec 2017 but the Post didn’t publish it.

Here’s reply: “The editors wanted to publish all the interviews at the same time in order to provide a comprehensive and detailed assessment of the war in Afghanistan. If SIGAR had acted more quickly, we would have published all of the Afghanistan Papers much earlier.”

That’s a little sketchy because something else happened in Dec 2017: Flynn plea agreement with Mueller on one count of making a false statement to FBI. Did Post refuse to publish Flynn’s interview because it would’ve revealed his harsh criticism of the same people targeting him?
After all, the Post had no qualms about publishing illegally leaked classified info about Flynn’s convos with Russian ambassador: So why not post Flynn interview? Doesn’t really fly.
